Veterans Adaptive Sports thanks the Chosin Few Leathernecks Motorcycle Club for their generosity and support. Their $1,000 donation will be put to good use to support the annual Telluride CO winter ski trip.

VAS held it’s first Summer Scuba Program here in West Palm Beach Aug 3-10. Some 20 disabled veterans participated establishing one of the largest veterans disabled diving groups in Florida. The take away from this event …. scuba diving will now be available all year round.

Doug Tuttle, President of Veterans Adaptive Sports, presented the Teammate of the Year Award to Lanny Carrero at the recent Scuba and Summer Camp held the West Palm Beach area. The Award reads “In recognition of his committed efforts of providing ongoing support to fellow veterans and the mission of Veterans Adaptive Sports”. Congratulations Lanny, well deserved!

Veterans Adaptive Sports volunteers Tom Hewitt and Bobby Symonds took military families attending the 38th Retreat at Renewal Coalition for a day on the water. All enjoyed the ride, the beach and snorkeling. The weather turned out well, an added bonus to relaxing day. Our event was just one of many planned by Renewal Coalition for the military families for this weekend.

VAS provided support for 6 disabled veterans so they could attend the 29th annual Winter Sports Clinic held at Snowmass, Colorado March 29 thru April 4, 2015. VAS sponsored participant Clint Hale was recognized at the event for being the only veteran to attend all 29 years the event has been held.
